oh, you colored the eyes! looks nice this way! I think their eyes are hard to color traditionally...

Actually, it was surprisingly easy for me to do that. Used one of my faber castell pens I have to give the blue color, then when I had scanned it in, I used the tiniest brush I could find in photoshop and used white. Then dotted it to make that effect. Though, I think it might had worked with a white gel pen too. But I didn't have that when I colored this.
And I just couldn't color any more than the eyes, with those world swallowing things, I thought more color could perhaps kill the effect. |

oh my god, you make it look like it easy to draw coneheads! XD I remember I turned one of Beyond's Star Trek self into a Conehead,it was sooo jarring.

of, that explains it! doing the dots traditionally is a pain, and I'd leave white gel pen out... I think it usually just messes things up! or those did that I had... I stopped using them within a year I gained them... annoying buggers...

Very nice linework! And those eyes too!
(The eyes make me think of some behind-the-scenes clips from Lord of The Rings, where they showed how they used multiple light sources to get the right "otherworldly" reflections in Galadriel's oh-so-blue eyes) And, jumping from one fandom to another... they should make a Star Trek episode where the Enterprise meets the Coneheads

You did such a nice job! Not only did you manage to get the head shape right, but also the conehead looks genuinely friendly, despite being so alien.

Berit: I rarely use my gel pen unless I'm coloring a white spot for the eyes. But I agree, they are messy things.
Nilla: The head was very easy for me, but damn, that body. So odd and long and bumps and muscles. Luckily, at this time, I didn't dare at anything past the shoulders. XD Mirror: Thank you! Though, I'm curious, in which of the documentaries did thay say that? Can't remember that thing. (Yes, LoTR movie fan here.) Treefox: Thank you. I'm very pleased with this one. He/She was fun to work with. And we need more fanart of the coneheads, they're important to the story. |

If memory serves me - it should be among the extra material from the "fellowship of the ring" -DVD. (The "normal" DVD or the special extended verion...can't remember which one, since I'm such a geek I have both...!)

In that case, I hope it is on the extended version, because I only have them. Used to have the video, but no video machine. Besides, there was no extra material on the video. XD
