Sweet Dewshine enjoying the feeling of the woods  :)

Draw with tablet and colored with SAI. One of my first try using tablet.

Please tell me what you think. Critique is welcome, as I would like to get better. ^^

If this is your first time using a tablet - I'm impressed!

I really like the atmosphere of this picture. Makes me miss summer. *sigh* You've captured Dewshines carefree and happy personality. And kudos for the difficult pose that you've pulled of very well!
As for the C/C (since you requested it): You'd might want to add a little more contrast. The light colors suit the motif well, but I think the details would stand out more if you add some shadows and more visible lines.

Oh, and WELCOME to EQfanart! *does the new artist-dance*

Absolutely agreed! Great use of tablet and the perspective of arm and leg are difficult and you pulled it off with great skill. It's always nice to see a happy Dewshine!

Wow, so much better than my first tablet scribbles! I agree pretty much with what has been said, but I'd like to see some white clouds or something in the sky. Now it feels a bit empty, as it's such a large part of your artwork. But otherwise you've done well, it sure has a summer-like feel to it!

~ Mirror,
It's nice to know I captured Dewshines personality in the drawing, a she enjoys the summer :) The pose was hard for me to do, so I'm glad you think I could pull it off. Shadows and more visible lines - got it :D Thanks for your constructive critique :)
Thanks for the welcome! Haha, and the new artist-dance. (I gotta remember how to do that dance)

~ Treefox,
Thanks for the nice words - and yes, a happy Dewshine is always good :D

~ Czarine,
Thank you! I'm glad you think so :)
Thanks for your thoughts considering the BG: It is a large part of my work, so I'll keep in mind to remember clouds or other details, whenever I do works with the sky:D

Clouds, or mountains, or more forest... depends on what angle you're chosing. :) Now it looks like we're slightly looking up to Dewshine, so clouds would be a good idea. But I don't feel the pose only suggests that, it could still be mountains or forest as well at eye-level.

I agree, I like the whole mood of the picture, but am missing contrast. Lines aren't necessarily the big thing missing here, looks like you're more of a painter. But shading can already add a lot.
When you blur your eyes a little (or look through your lashes as some would say), you can see perfectly what stands out in your picture and what not. For example; the only thing I can see in the face are the eyes, and the haircolor almost becomes the same as her skincolor.

I hope this helps a bit! Good to see more new people here, I hope you'll add more. :D
