Hunters To Be
by Czarine
Berit said there wasn't any art of the sisters with their adoptive father, so here goes! Laluna is watching Strongbow making a slingshot, while Terra has already spotted a promising target...
My first time drawing Strongbow, ever. His eyes were difficult... I wasn't sure of which outfit to draw, so I drew one of his old ones.

I love the soft colours and the softness of the picture itself - beautiful!

Berit: I want to see your version too! Hey, could you add the frog too, for curiosity? I've grown fond of him...
This wasn't exactly quickly done, it took me over six hours (not to mention that I had to dig up reference for Strongbow)... I really need to learn to draw faster! |

I absolutely love your style!
And (this willl sound weird) I love the way you draw feet! I always end up hiding my character's feet in the grass or smth, I find it so hard. So I'm really impressed by your skills, lol Poor frog... |

Haha, how long do frogs live anyway?
I love this friendly picture of Strongbow and the two sisters! He seems to be a good and patient teacher in the comics as well, so I think this is absolutely in character. I mean Cutter lead Ember be trained by him as well. |

What?! I never commented on this?! Bad Amberfox, bad! I think you did a perfect, rather gorgeous Strongbow in this. The eyes can be hard to draw in this angle, but you nailed it. I also think this particular outfit is spot on for the time period, although almost anything would work when you consider Moonshade is the primary tanner. I'm sure he served as an inspiration and "model" for her designs. His pose is so natural and relaxed; I'm envious! The foreshortening on the face is wonderfully done as well. Love that undivided, full concentration on Laluna's face and Terra is not only easily distracted but she seems already dirty (likely from crawling around in the underbrush). I can't help but wonder if froggy is Laluna's eventual friend or the poor relative thereof. Maybe Terra's next action makes Laluna more sensitive to poor froggies...Beautiful colors, so vibrant yet subtle!

Ah, thanks! This feels so old now, though I still like the mood in it. My current way of drawing is a lot less "painterly", so I'm not even sure I could pull off something that had a similar style. Maybe in Anondraw, though. Heh! I wonder what happened next to the poor frog...
