Like many others I've made elves which are of beast blood. It always annoyed me that almost everyone mixed it with cats, so I decided to go outside the box, and make a tribe of elves who had seal blood in their veins.

This is his mate. Shenah is of third generation of elves born on this world and the recognized mate of Mika (the seal hybrid.)

She respected him but motherhood suited her badly. It frustrated her to no end, which made the relationship between herself and the tribe strained. After one episode she left them and was never seen again.

That's a really great idea for an elf tribe! I'm really fascinated with all kinds of legends, so I recall reading something about selkies and how they are sea-people who can cast off their seal skin and take human form (basically related to the mermaids)... Perhaps the selkies are also related to Wendy's Wavedancer elves? :)

That's a legend I have never heard off. How cool! When I decided that they were of seal blood it was because someone had shot one and left it to die. Eventually it washed up on the nearest beach, early one morning. :( Plus that I can hear them every time I visit the ocean. Since they've been unamed for the longest time, maybe I should call them Selkies XD
