I like both versions, but it's interesting to see the same scene from a different perspective. Nice!

the perspective change is great! thins couls have been a challenge! the "unforgotten past" or what was it called? anyway! I think this looks very nice! the goat looked a bit goofy in the old one but the animals look absolutely wonderful int he new one! this really shows how artists improve over time!...

I can't believe I haven't commented on this! I agree the perspective in this is breathtaking! The 2007 illo is really good, and the elves and wolves look menacing in the shadows with just their eyes glowing. The terror on the goat is clear, although somehow a little cartoonish. Not a complaint, merely an observation. And it works; I'd likely look no better if I were being pursued like that. The 2009 illo is just amazing for adding all the characters, including the fleeing deer/goat (looks like a cross between the species), having the multiple perspectives for each, and making it so realistic. And it's not in color or fully shaded! I only wish I could enlarge this more to see more details.
