River Twine 2011 Calendar - November

For RTH's 2011 calendar, I did November. (There's a link to the entire calendar in the RTH thread under "Holts".)
Kestrel (at far left, belongs to Megan) is about to depart on a hunt with the three pictured on their wolves, but she is pausing to say goodbye to her younger sister Fadestar (seated in foreground, belongs to Linda), who is looking after young Copper (seated on her wolf, Flea; belongs to Beth). The three other hunters are Brightwood (waving goodbye to her daughter Copper, belongs to Rachel), Blacksnake (mine), and Willow (belongs to Heidi). Whew!
Done in black Prismacolor pencil on coquille board (that accounts for the texture), then colored with Copics, with some finishing effects in Photoshop.

 This is gorgeous!! The whole atmosphere is so wonderful. As usual, you do a brilliant job at giving each character a personality and making them look unique. The winter clothes look very wearable and practical! And the wolves! Lovely blend between real wolves and EQ stylized wolves. |
