So, this is the finished inked picture. Tossed in a background and a wolfie. Say hello to Brightmoon.
The water looks kind of silly because I simply used the brush-tool. Same goes for the dens and the stairs. Oh, and the trees look a bit weird because I have no idea of how to draw trees xD Every Google-search came up with very basic or very detailed trees. Oh well...

I'm actually really happy with this piece. It's not the same old boring pose, it's got a background and I got to try a new style. It's been quite challenging, but I'm really happy with the result!

I'll probably colour this at some point and since it was made for the "Unforgotten Past" challenge I'll dig up the original and post it here as well.

Gee, this looks like a lot of work! It looks great! You're truly prolific lately, aren't you?
You have been quire daring with the perspective of arms and legs and I think it was very well worth the effort. The inking is beautiful! I like how her hair looks! It really looks like it was wet!
Also, you're really getting comfortable with wolves, aren't you? This one looks great, very stylized!
Concerning C/C: I think her left arm could have used a few more lines around the lower arm/elbow region to emphasize the angle a bit more. Also the hand seems a bit too small. I also think (not quite sure) that her mouth and nose are not quite aligned with the chin.
About the trees: I myself have quite some troubles finding the right balance of detail and simplified shapes in backgrounds. I think you should fan out the canopy a bit more and make them not quite so mushroom shaped. I usually used Wendy's trees as inspiration, I think she handled them quite well, especially in the OQ.

Treefox, thank you! Glad you liked it ^_^
Yeah, the wolf was pretty fun! I really like this one!

About the arm, yeah I know it doesn't really look like it should... But I couldn't figure out what to change :/
Nose/mouth: Yup. That's correct. I noticed it when I inked it, but forgot all about it. Darn it!
Hmm, I'll try to look up some of Wendy's trees next time.

Cometduster, thank you! I'm coloring it right now actually, so it shouldn't take long.

On another note, I found the original! My god, it's ghastly! xD

Good job with the foreshortening here -- although, composition-wise, I think dropping the beckoning hand a little, so that a little more arm is seen, would have been good; it looks a little awkward to me, as if it's only in that place to cover her right nipple... but since the other nipple is uncovered, there's no real reason to cover up the right one.  I *really* like the flow from her midsection into her belly/hips and thighs, and the placement of her legs, though.  And all that curly hair is lovely-looking.

For trees -- yeah, I would say that you couldn't study anyone better than Wendy for something like this.  She has a great mixture of "realism" and stylization -- adapting them to inking techniques and thus very basic lines with a hint of detail.  But no matter what you do, I think that den-trees (like the Father Tree) are just a real challenge to do, because of the bulges of the dens. It's tricky, and I think you've made a good start here.

Thank you for your words Eregyrn ^_^ It's very helpful.
Yes, I see what you mean about the hand. It does seem a little strained to have it that high up. I never intended to hide her nipple, I just couldn't make it work xD
I <3 her belly as well :D

Trees yeah. I need to practice. I'll try looking at Wendy's art till next time ;)

Again, thank you!
