2011 Fan Art Calendar: DECEMBER
Sunlight shifts, the winds turn crisp
Little one, you grow
Play among the crackling leaves
Scamper in the snow
What sweet surprises. Look, see there!
The changing colors of your hair
In tune with nature’s stormy whims!
One season ends- a new begins.

Again I just have to love this! I mean it's Nightfall and family!
But personal likings aside, the mood in this is superbly done! I love the contrast between the warm den and the cold winter outside. Tyleet is adorable, and thank you, thank you for choosing a situation with Redlance without his gnome beard. |

This brings back such happy memories of one of my favorite times in the EQ storyline, back when I KotBW was coming out every other month, and I'd ambush the postman at our mailbox when the time drew near (closest comic store was 2 hours away!). I was such a Tyleet fan girl. *happy sigh*
I can practically feel the cool air through the open window and the cozy warmth of the interior; you nailed that contrast. (Does anyone know where I can find more of lunakat's art? I tried to find an art thread on the SoC without success. ) |

Great subject-matter here -- I can never get enough of this family -- and I just adore the way you've done the den interior. Your painting technique here is fabulous, too -- I'm especially taken with the translucence of the hide over the door (/window?), and the spreading light from the candle. Also, kudos on the wintry exterior scene. It captures so very well the dim grey light of a snowfall in the woods. (I actually had a WIP with a very similar theme -- wintry scene outside of a den opening, contrasting with the warm interior -- which I recently finished and will be posting soon; and man, I like the way you did yours so much better!)
Foxeye -- didn't she USED to have an art thread at the old EQFA or SoC? I know she's actively posting at SoC recently, maybe note her there and ask? |

Beautiful picture, beautiful family... and I love the picture-within-a-picture wolf face on the wall! =D

@ Foxeye - Nah...she never had a SoC gallery. She totally holds out on us. But she did go to the same art school as I did, so she can DRAW.
