"Genesis of a Fractured Mind" by Wildfire
by Wildfire
The moment of Two-Edges' conception.
The moment where Winnowill succumbs to a new kind of madness.
The moment where Winnowill decides to break all taboos and barriers by
combining the two races - without thought or love for her child,
seeking the experiment for the experiment's sake.
In a way it is also the moment where Two-Edge is doomed to a life
filled with insanity, suffering and loss.
The tragic, hopeless nature of this moment always seemed very
important to me. It goes against how the elves and the trolls perceive
the world and Two-Edge is caught up in the middle of it.

It's a splendid idea and the execution is so well done. Such a dramatic piece!
I think the color choices are great. |

Interesting choice for this theme! I think the portraits of Two-Edge are really effective -- the way all of them seem to be reacting to, almost as if witnessing, what is going on with the central figures. How characteristic of Two-Edge that his feelings about it would encompass ALL of those reactions. The dim, limited palette, almost monochromatic, works well for it, too.
