This is definitely one of my favorite pieces! Perfect!
A cool scene and the atmosphere of the Troll caves is spot on. I love all the little details, like the slight glow around New Moon. This really draws the attention to it. My boyfriend was absolutely amazed that you put in that little mushroom pot. |

Wonderful moment choice, and masterfully executed. You are such a pro! <3
Y'know, I've never asked, but I really ought to...what is it about trolls that inspires you so often? |

@Foxeye; I'm not exactly sure what got me at first!
Okay, not exactly true, it started when I adopted the troll Busyplan at Stormholt in 2000! He was not the last remaining adoptable, but I picked him, because it was so different! I think that I feel the trolls are most underappreciated of all EQ chars. But I like 'm, they're funny, and if they don't think so themselves then it still is for us as viewers! They have more depth than people realise, and I'm interested in this subscene. Plus I think that most people might find them too hard to draw, but they deserve fan art too -- they're an important part of the storyline after all! Even if they're concidered ugly. I like the challenge though and I've found my way in how to draw them. So why not spread the love..? | |

Love this piece. The moment is a great choice, and the execution is just perfect -- I love how expressive both of the characters are, and the setting is just so atmospheric. The soft coloring and the hint of paper texture just gives it a very old-fashioned storybook illustration feeling. I love that it really looks "hand-done" (doubtless, because it *is*).

Yes, yes! That's what I couldn't pin down about how it looks so incredibly true to EQ art. Being all hand-done, and the hint of paper, like Eregyrn said, must be why I could see this as an actual frame from one of Wendy's own comics. (How's that for your photo-realism portrayal of the comic book setting? =D)

I used the same technique as I did last year; I did the basecolors in Photoshop, then printed it on pastel paper (which is a bit rougher; which is why the texture shows) and finished it with pastel pencils and white ink.
