Story illo for Holt of Grand Illusions. Slash and his black panther Megs arrive in HGI for the first time, and he hasn't made much of an impression on his "greeting party." It got ugly after this scene. Healer Sona scolds him for being a moron to allow himself to be injured for so long and doing nothing about it, Frostborn is ready to challenge that smug sense of self he has, and Cornerstone just wants to kick his ass. Can you just feel the love?

I am always amazed how patient you must be drawing and inking all this hair and background.

Thank you, Saree! Often the hair doesn't bother me unless I run out of ink or the tiny rollerball falls out and the ink blobs all over my drawing. What gets me is when I have one of those black on black on black on black illos (you know, black hair, black tunic, black pants, black knee high boots, black cape...). I also often don't know what to do for a background and worry it's boring and common. Sigh.
