On the subject of pictures that I really dig but can't find the right words for...I love this. ^_^ The moment I saw the thumbnail I was really drawn to it. Even when small it "reads" well. Has a sort of airy-but-mood-filled quality to it, that works well with the "grrrrr"-ness of the wolf itself. I think the floating leaves are a great touch. I can almost feel and smell this scene.

thank you both!... I'm actually surprised that people like this, usually a detail of some drawing doesn't get people interested... nice to hear that I managed to capture something about the mood and the wind here!...

Nope, I'll never post the nightmarishly bad illos I've done of wolves. Or elves. I can see issues with this, but at the same time, it's well done. I love the high arch on the back as the wolf is coming for the viewer, and that tail up says you're screwed. I really like the coloring of this wolf; it may be simple stripes, but it works rather than just grey or white.
