Hoopje op Storm
by Afke
As I'm browsing through some old pictures anyways (2008), I came across this one I still like very much. It was my reply to a Tekenslurf that was running on the Zonnemeer/Zomerbron forum, where we replied to each other's drawing with a drawing (often with some text).
"Hoopje op Storm!" basically means they pile up on Storm (he asked for hugs, I doubt he meant this), the other text says "This here is Storm" and "This part too".
The one on the left with the spoon is Vlierbes, the butt sticking out is Bliksem, the blonde girl is Zonnestraal and on top with the headscarf is my Schudspeer.
Used some photo examples for all the limbs sticking out (I might've forgotten some).

In English, we would shout "DOG PILE!" Don't know what it has to do with dogs, though. LOL
Nice work. A difficult undertaking, getting all those bodies, arms and legs to look like they inhabit a believable space with all those odd perspectives. |

This looks like fun and makes me want to join! What's up with the spoon anyway? Just curious.

Vlierbes can never be seen without it. It's his thing, he's quite the gourmet. I imagine him hear shouting "Hoopje op Storm!" and directly come running out of the kitchen to join in.

Sounds like a character I'd get along with well.
