It's good to see illustrations of scenes that we don't see that often. I'd like to see more of these canon story scenes from others as well. I really like the textures you've used, they add to the coldness.

This scene was well picked, indeed. *sniff* I love the monotone colors with only the red hair standing out. Somehow fits with Redlance not fitting into the cruel Go-Back world well.

Thanks! I actually colored this one fully, and then couldn't figure why it wasn't working and just played around with the layers in photoshop until I got this. Kinda wish I'd figured it out sooner, before I wasted all that rendering time. <3

The great detailing of Redlance (minus the hand) is matched by the bleak, starkness of the scene - perfect! Evokes the harsh reality and brutality of the moment.

very sad moment you've captured here, I too like to see fanarts of moments like these, and you are right... we don't see fanart of Medka around... a very touching picture...

Nu-uh, I drew her too! It's in the calendar folder here, 2008 favorite moments.
People should not forget Mekda. Poor girl. Just something for Redlance to be the one to mourn her. Love this picture, especially with most of the color out, perfect for the mood. |

You know, this my favorite image of yours. The choice of colors is so fitting to the scene you portray here. I agree that Redlance is a nice choice for this well picked scene.

Interestingly enough, I had colored this out fully with all of Redlance's greens and browns....but it just didn't look right, so I just started playing around with the layer effects. Overlay for the win.
