Rayek portrait 2

a portrait of Rayek I drew when I was in the Metal working course... I used an old, faded black and white copy of the one of the Elfquest comic pages as reference, I don't know whose copy it was, but it was there, so why not!... I believe the page was from the... first?... book... not quite sure though!... linearts I drew with ballpoint pens. colored mostly with woodcolor pencils, but I used some markers as well!...

this is one of your best rayek pic, I think !!! he looks so hypnotizing and serious !!! and great coloring technique: Markers and pencils ... good idea ! |

thanks Icemoon! though I personally think this is a bit messy... should just train more, it has been a long time since I used markers and woodcolor pencils...

Great job with Rayek. I think I also like the "old school" look best myself (although his long flowing hair in later series...well, you know me and that hair thing...). Excellent use of pens, markers, and woodcolor pencils; I don't know if I could even come close using the same materials.
