The first in a series of five pictures requested by Blackbird (from SoC). She requested a picture of Ember and Venka together but those were the only real guidelines.

So, I ended up going down this path, since they are both daughters of chiefs and now chiefs of their own splinter tribes too ~ which is why I let Venka have the four braids of the Go-Back chief and let Ember carry both her own dagger and New Moon as well.

Love love love this picture. As I think I mentioned elsewhere, it looks like the pencils for a cover of what would be a VERY awesome storyline. *wistful sigh*

Love this! Ember's gleeful expression and action-y pose are wonderful, and I really adore the antler-y headdress on Venka!

Oh wow!! I can not express how much i love this picture! Its so beautiful! You captured them perfectly. Venka calm and mystical. Ember firey and playful! wow!

this is absolute wonderful! rarely do I see an artwork that where softlines and the feel of action work tis well together! I am amazed! this really does look like a cover for a comic! if I would have enough skills at coloring, I would ask if I could color this! but as my skiils are now, I would only make a mess! this truly is amazing piece of art! I like the poses, the shades and the lines as well as the expressions!
