Who caught what?

The first sketch I made for the vacation booklet activity of Zomerbron, a few years ago already actually. Finally finished the swirling strings and inking the whole thing, and I colored it a few days ago.

Rammer likes to fish, and inventor-to-be Lispel likes to fly his selfmade kite. But what is Erizo, Rammer's hedgehog, doing there messing things up (yet again) and who actually caught the fish?
Pre-colored in Photoshop (water, sky, grass and a base color for every other surface), printed, and finished it with colored pencils.

The poses on these two are done really well, very fluid and relaxed.  The illo itself somehow reminds me of a maze often seen in the paper; you know, follow the string and see where it leads.

LOVE the hedgehog!  When I was in Germany, I had one scamper across in front of me and the poor guy I was with was confused when I tried to chase it down into the bushes!  I'd never seen one up close before, so...

I've been woken up by a hedgehog a few times while camping, they make so much NOISE! :D

Oh, and the vacation 'booklet' this is for was inspired by those nostalgic children's puzzle games. I have more ideas for this.

Sorry, there isn't any booklet, these pictures of mine are the first submissions. I think it'll stay an ongoing project.
