Song for the Moon

I found a very old marker lineart of a wolf from my files, and I remembered why I drew it... I was camping with a some people from some course I was in... it was the middle of the night and I ventured outside the campi into the forest... I howled there, many might find me odd for doing something like that, but it has been a hobby of mine even before I started reading the EQ books... the course members were terrified because they were afraid of wolves and actually mistook me howling for a real wolf's howl (my howling is no where near as haunting and sharp, but they obviously didn't know the difference)...

but to my biggest suprise, I noticed that I had audience... in the shadows of the forest I saw eerie golden eyes looking at me, and the moonlight revealed two big paws and the shape of a canine head... a wolf was there, not far from me, wondering what I was... as I stopped howling, it stayed there a little whle, until it turned around and vanished into the forest... I drew this to remember that always... just gave the old lineart some quick coloring in photoshop...

Thank you all for the nice comments!... well, I tried to capture some of the feeling into this picture, the chilly night air that was pierced by my own howling voice and the precense of the darker than dark shadows of the forest...
