this is what Marut's gear look like, and yeah, usually he doesn't have a beard, nor does he have fur on his ears, but whenever it gets cold his facial hair starts growing. the look in his eyes also changes to that piercing hunters gaze...

I like the idea of how he changes when it gets cold...it's a very, mmm, elfquest-y notion. I don't think the Pini's ever intended for elven magic to have "rules" per se, but rather that it's something that is alive and adjusts as needed.
And the fuzzy ears are adorable...

thanks, Foxeye! I really wanted his "wolfside" to show at certain times, and growing extra fur to survive in the cold is one of them!. yeah, I too think that the magic is living and changing in the world of Two moons, giving rules to bind it will definately kill the life in it...

That sounds like it's very handy!
Plus his whole body and especially his face tells that he's busy surviving at this point. Must be a tough winter! |

thanks Afke, I'm glad that others see the difference in him, and yeah, at this point it's sometimes quite hard to talk to him, because he seems so insanely lost in the surviving, he isn't aggressive or anything, it's just hard to get him to respond...

Okay, so much for the beard giving him an "older and wiser" look; he looks pretty unhappy about something in this illo. Maybe our presence? Certainly wouldn't want to share his kill with so many viewers.
