Into the Woods - Finished?
by Foxeye
Oiy, she was giving me some trouble there for a bit, but...I think I'm "finished". That is to say, now I go work on the website code/layout, and as I stare at her I'll probably find stuff to nit-pick about. But, by and large, I think she's close enough.
c/c 4 is welcome, since this one will be staring folks in the face for years to come over at eqcrescent.com

This is absolutely ethereal! The way you captured the light and the entire *feel* of the image is beautiful! So painterly and lovely The ooooonly nitpick I would have is that the deep shadow around her eye seems a little out of place, as there is no shadow that black anywhere else on her. However, it does make the gleam of her eye "pop" so maybe it's a silly nitpick (...but holy cow is that lighting spectacular!!)

I...agree. I was torn. I really liked the look of the eye, but I knew it didn't really compliment the shading. Maybe at some point I'll play around with how it looks if I scale back the heavy eyeliner.
And thank you! |

Like I said, the darkness of the shadow really does make her eye shimmer... it was definitely not a make-or-break nitpick, but you had asked for CC's and that's the only thing I could come up with!
Also, I find that with most (if not every) image I make or see, there is always one special spot that just grabs me, one area that just draws me (not counting compositional elements *intended* to draw the eye somewhere)... am I making sense? Anyways. In this pic it's the small of Crescent's back. The modelling and light all come together for a beautiful (and sexy!) rendering. The entire image is wonderful, but I thought I'd point out my weird "point"-ism. |

Gorgeous! You truly are a master of color! The atmosphere is so beautiful. Love the cool night/woods feel. I can almost smell the water! ;-) Very nice leaf-shading on Crescent, too!

Oh my goodness.
The atmosphere, the colours, the light... gah! Beautiful! *lost for words* ... Like Joyrider, the ONLY thing I could put my finger on, is the area around her eye. Perhaps a bit dark to be realistic. But then again, it REALLY makes here eye stand out (it's like she's looking right at me!), and, well... it's Elfquest! Artistic freedom is allowed. |
